Hi, I worked now 5 hours with my Android tab and it realy deos a great job. However, I note, that on my Galaxy 8.9 Tab, the screen is used very ineffectively.

For example:

The magenta course line and the yellow airplane symbol is much too large (I used scale 1:500k and 1:250k)

The bottom Terain clearance is much too large

The buttons on the right side of the screen are much too large

The informational Messages popping up onto the screen are much too large

I have attached screenshots so you can see what I mean.

Sorry I cant upload attachements with IE-10, did it with Chrome

Also I cannot detach the little gyro on the bottom of the screen to provide for a full instrument panel (which I can in the Windows version9

nice to hear that there is another user of an Samsung tab 8.9. I want to know how good is the performance of your device?

I have problems in planning mode. I can move the map one or two times by touching and dragging the screen. Then the tablet makes a break of 4-6s and the screen is blocked. After that time very often appears the create waypoint popup or I can drag the map again one or two times and then the screen freezes again.

I switched off all ground features and switched on the offline mode. But it does not help. After dragging the screen one or two times the screen is blocked for 5 seconds.

Do you have the same problems?

If I use SD on my Windows7 tablet I have not these effects. I can drag the screen many times and I have no blocked screen...

No, I have not such problems. I am using CM10.1 M2 latest version (March 6) on a rooted tab

That is interesting! I am running 8.9" lte with Android 4.04, not rooted.

Erik can you help me? Can you go to the play store and try to install "Jeppesen mobile tc" ? I am running this app on my tablet. They are talking that this app is not running on an rooted device. Can you check it out for me, please?

If this app would run on your tablet then I would root my device also. Otherwise I have a problem with the performance of SD...
